Shelby, Occupational Therapist

Shelby is a Power Play winner at Powerback. This title is shared with Powerback team members who go above and beyond the call of duty for their respective role.

When Joe needed urgent medical help, Shelby W., OT, stepped in without hesitation, recognizing the emergency, calling for help, and providing critical details to EMTs. Joe’s daughter, Eileen, shared, "Shelby’s attentiveness toward Dad made a real difference during a stressful time."Eileen went on to say, "What is very important to note is that I chose Shelby [to contact] because I trusted her. That is a great character trait! Her active reading that morning keyed in on the urgent medical need for Dad." Shelby’s quick thinking and immediate response played a crucial role in getting Joe the help he needed.Thanks to the teamwork of Shelby, Tricia, and Monika, Joe is now back on his feet—"literally, he's back up on his rollator!"

Shelby’s actions went beyond her job description, and her extraordinary care is truly something to be celebrated.In recognition of Shelby’s heroic efforts, leadership paid a special visit to Juniper Communities (Village at Hamilton) to personally thank her and celebrate her exceptional work. Tricia shared, "Shelby is a shining star already in her young career!"
