Icy's Unstoppable Recovery

Icy arrived following a hospitalization for a total hip replacement due to osteoarthritis. From the moment she began her therapy recovery, Icy demonstrated a strong will and unwilling determination to regain her independence and return home. Upon admission, Icy faced significant physical challenges. She was unable to walk, required moderate assistance with transfers, and needed maximum assistance for essential self-care Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). These challenges proved to be bumps in the road to Icy's recovery, but she still remained committed to returning home as strong and self sufficient as possible.

Throughout her rehab journey, Icy participated in an intensive rehab program, completing comprehensive Occupational and Physical Therapy multiple times daily. Her therapy sessions focused on helping Icy improve her ability to perform ADLs, enhance standing endurance and balance, and regain her mobility through targeted gait training.

Thanks to her resilience, tireless effort, and the expert guidance and support of her therapy team, Icy made remarkable progress. In time, she not only met but exceeded her initial goals. With great pride and accomplishment, Icy was able to return home, restored in both strengh and resilience.
