Robert's Remarkable Recovery with Powerback

Following a stroke and cardiac issues, Robert required rehabilitation.

Upon arrival, Bob was devastated by his loss of strength and coordination. He required maximum assistance with ADLs and could not walk independently.

After Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy with Powerback, Robert:

• Can now walk independently with a mobility aid as needed
• Completes ADLs independently
• Experienced a significant improvement in his MBI (Modified Barthel Index) score- from 27 upon arrival to 85 at discharge.

Robert had a hard road ahead of him to recovery, but through the ongoing support of his rehab team, he pushed through and came with an improved belief in his abilities. Known as a stoic man to his family, upon seeing Robert thriving  in therapy, they stated:

“I haven’t ever seen Dad ever smile like that.”

With dedication and perseverance to succeed, Robert achieved an incredible outcome and now celebrates increased safety awareness and overall coordination. Way to go, Robert!
