Urge Congress to extend Medicare telehealth for Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy, which is set to expire on January 30, 2026. Join the campaign now!

On January 30, 2026, crucial government funding is set to expire, jeopardizing two vital Medicare policies unless Congress intervenes:

1. Telehealth Flexibilities: The expiration will end the COVID-19 era allowance for physical, occupational, and speech therapists (PT, OT, SLP) to provide rehabilitation services via telehealth. Without this authority, numerous Medicare beneficiaries face losing access to essential therapy needed for functional improvement and mobility.

2. 1.0 Work Geographic Practice Cost Index (GPCI) Floor: The loss of this provision, a key component of the Part B reimbursement formula, threatens a decrease in clinician reimbursement nationwide, further straining providers.

Both policies previously lapsed during the October 2025 government shutdown, which caused coverage gaps, beneficiary confusion, and significant administrative and financial burdens for providers. Though they were temporarily extended through January 30, 2026, Congress must act again to extend both provisions without interruption.

Action is Urgent and Easy:

We strongly urge you to contact your Members of Congress immediately. Tell them to pass permanent telehealth authority, such as H.R. 1614, and to extend the 1.0 Work GPCI floor. Use your voice to support the continuation of these vital healthcare provisions.
