July 22, 2025-- CMS Announces Another Deadline Extension for Skilled Nursing Facility Revalidation
CMS informed Skilled Nursing Facilities that the deadline for mandatory Skilled Nursing Facility provider enrollment off-cycle revalidation was moved from August 1, 2025, to January 1, 2026. This change amounts to a 5-month delay for providers to collect required data and to problem-solve the data submission process. This change was published in the 7/17/25 MLN Connects Weekly Edition Newsletter. Ready providers may still choose to submit Form 855A at any time between now and 1/1/2026.
