Joe and Leona have been writing their love story since 1956—a story filled with laughter, resilience, and a romance worthy of the silver screen. Together, they raised four children and built a life rooted in devotion and adventure. Joe, a man of strength and determination, survived a life-threatening aneurysm in his younger years and went on to lead a successful international company. But even the strongest hearts face new battles. In recent years, Joe has been living with Alzheimer’s disease, which has challenged his ability to speak, walk, and care for himself.

He now stands and walks with assistance—and with that, a beautiful moment returned. Recently, Joe and Leona shared a stroll, side by side, and were able to share a warm embrace.
