Upon arrival, Our comprehensive therapy team focused on rebuilding strength, decreasing shoulder pain, and improving transfers, mobility, balance and functional independence. Speech Therapy addressed her significant difficulty swallowing. Together ruling out underlying conditions and finding a solution that improved her symptoms and allow her to enjoy meals.
The results were transformative. Phyllis went from being wheelchair-bound to achieving 100% independence using a walker for all mobility. Through modifications and physical gains, she improved from dependent to completely independent getting in and out of bed.
