Gudi– from Assisted Living to Renewed Independence

Gudi lived with her husband in an independent care community and, unfortunately, experienced a number of falls due to increasing difficulties with balance and neuropathy.

Upon arrival, Gudi had recently suffered from a fall that left her severely injured. Her family’s goal was to help Gudi regain strength. Originally, Gudi required a wheelchair to participate in all activities and meals. Gudi’s goals? To walk again and regain independence when completing ADLs.

After Occupational and Physical Therapy with Powerback, Gudi can now:

• Walk to all meals and activities using a mobility aid

Gudi’s resilience and unwavering spirit helped her to overcome the challenges she faced. She has made great strides (literally!) and requires less ADL assistance. Now, Gudi looks forward to reuniting with her husband in an Independent care community. When asked for her motto in life, she states:

“Be the best you can be!”
