Carol's Return to Mobility Independence

Carol experienced difficulty walking safely in her home and in her community, and suffered from deteriorated strength in her leg due to nerve compression. These symptoms placed her at an extremely high risk for falls. Eventually, Carol required spinal surgery.

During her stay in her care community, Carol unfortunately suffered a fall. This event led to her needing to undergo spinal surgery a second time, as her spinal hardware had become loosened. This unfortunate setback did not stop Carol; her determination, dedication, and positive attitude throughout her therapy program propelled her to succeed.

After PT and OT with Powerback, Carol:

• Walks independently within her home, without falls
• Experiences reduced pain in her leg, and her strength has improved remarkably
• No longer requires additional support, meaning she is now fully independent at home and in her care community.

Throughout her therapy journey, Carol demonstrated how positivity can transform someone’s life. She was ultimately discharged back home and has regained her independence.
