Dearing came to her Powerback PT team during her battle with cancer. She experienced significant side effects from chemotherapy, resulting in severe generalized weakness throughout her muscles. With multiple falls and poor activity tolerance, she was identified as a great candidate to benefit from Physical Therapy sessions. After 12 weeks of PT intervention, Dearing resumed participating in all functional and desired leisure activities, like vacationing internationally!
Larry experienced difficulty projecting his voice– it had become so quiet that his wife and other familiar listeners could no longer hear him. With the support of Speech Therapy, Larry reclaimed his voice, which is now clear and audible to both familiar and unfamiliar listeners, even with barriers like a door or a TV on in the background.

Initially facing serious swallowing difficulties that necessitated the use of a feeding tube and NPO (nothing by mouth) dietary restriction, Mitchell approached therapy with enthusiasm and determination.
